Our Story — Why We Built OvenBloom

We're G and C, a husband and wife team from Florida. She's the baker. He's the builder. Together, we run Havenly Bread, a home bakery that started with sourdough and a whole lot of faith.

When we started Havenly Bread, we thought the hard and time-consuming part would be the baking. Turns out, the hard part was everything else. Taking orders through Facebook DMs. Collecting payments on Venmo, PayPal, and tracking cash. Tracking who ordered what in a Google Sheet or in text messages. Texting customers about pickup times. Opening the calculator app to figure out if we were even making money.

We looked for a platform that could handle all of it, one place to manage orders, accept payments, run a storefront, and keep track of the business side. What we found were tools that hit some of our needs but not all of them. Didn't want to have multiple tools either. Just wanted one.

So we built it ourselves.

Why It's Called OvenBloom

The name comes from two things close to our hearts. The bloom of bread rising in the oven, and the promise that something planted with care will grow. Our faith shapes everything we do, and we believe every baker deserves the tools to see their hard work flourish.

We Use It Too

Havenly Bread is our first baker on the platform, and we use OvenBloom every day to run it. That means when something doesn't work, we feel it first. When we add a new feature, we test it with real bread and real customers before it ever reaches you.
